Turn a conversation into work
When a message is really a project.
Some messages are not replies. A customer describing a problem, a prospect asking for something you do not yet have, a partner proposing work — those are objectives wearing a conversation's clothes.
Steps
- Open the conversation.
- Choose Create objective.
- Check the scope it proposes — it reads the thread, so it usually starts close.
- Approve.
You're done when an objective exists, linked back to the conversation that started it.
Why the link matters
The objective keeps its origin. When it produces a deliverable, you can see what it was for without reconstructing the thread — and whoever picks it up later can read the original ask.
Gotchas
- Not every long thread is an objective. If the answer is a reply, reply.
